raya adventure

Am now in Penang, holiday+raya. Tomorrow morning we'll be doing our sunat aidilfitri prayer in the nearby masjid and then we'll go back to alor setar. Later in the evening, I'll be shipped to Sg.Petani for an overnight. Next morning we'll be off to Pasir Mas, Kelantan to go merisik. Hehe, so far, everything has gone well according to plan. But I am not so much in love with Penang yet. I like the beach, yes, it's adorable..but they are lacking of cool malls like Mid. It's not easy to find a proper halal restaurant either, except for the McD and other fast food restaurant. All the way, you can only find chinese eating place. Seriously, Penang is now dominated by Chinese which is well, I find that very not harmony. I mean at Padang Kota, they actually separate the food stalls according to race. That's just too racist to me. I know that they are just doing that because of the halal thingy, but still...

Plus, the fun thing to do ere is just rest at our room and use the free internet service instead of loitering around. Honestly, we just had a drive in the Rusa with no destination for hours, looking for interesting place to shop, but there's just none. There are three malls, but none are interesting at all. Not interesting means the shops are all closed. The only one opens was the supermarket??? Huh, B-O-R-I-N-G !!! Take me to KL back, this is torture, but at least not worst than Jakarta right?

But then I forget to mention the hotel and the beach. Hotel was.. is great, I had the bed all to myself for the first two nights and then we squeezed in one room for a night because of some technical mistakes. Abang joined us on our third day. He wasn't on holiday yet when we travelled to Penang. Ugh, work! Gee, I can't imagine if I were to start my clinical year when I won't be able to come back home for eid. It'll sure be so doom. But for now, I'll just enjoy whatever I can and worryless about the uncertain.
